Ylber Ramadani has completed a transfer switch to Serie A side Lecce.
The midfielder, 27, had been tracked by the Italian club before a significant undisclosed fee was agreed with Aberdeen.
Ramadani only joined Aberdeen last summer from Hungarian outfit MTK Budapest but quickly became a fan favourite at Pittodrie.
Barry Robson said of the deal: “Despite only being here for a season, Ylber’s commitment and desire to do his best for the club was clear for all to see.
“I’ve no doubt his experience at Aberdeen, and within the Scottish game, will have made Ylber a better player and prepare him for the challenges which lie ahead in Italy.”
An Aberdeen statement confirmed: "Ylber Ramadani has today joined Serie A side U.S Lecce for an undisclosed fee.
"The Albanian International moved to the Dons last summer from Hungarian side MTK Budapest and made an instant impact becoming an integral part of the team that secured third sport and group stage European football.
"The midfielder, who’s passionate displays made him a fans’ favourite, made 44 appearances for Aberdeen, scoring on one occasion.
"Everyone at Aberdeen FC wishes Ylber and his family all the very best in the future."
