Radio host Ross Solly will return to ABC Radio's Canberra Breakfast following Adam Shirley's departure as the program's host.
Mr Shirley announced on Friday morning, October 25, his departure from the program at the conclusion of the day's show.
Mr Shirley said he will take on a "new role in the newsroom" starting January next year. He noted the need for "newer and fresher voices" to serve the region.

Mr Shirley said he is "very fortunate to have it be my choice" while giving thanks to ABC's management.
"It's time to pass the baton," Mr Shirley said.
The England-born radio host spent much of his childhood in Corio Bay in Geelong before moving to Canberra.
A scientist by trade, he has entertained children at Questacon on top of his duties on radio.
