Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch kicked off the new year in romantic style as they renewed their wedding vows 11 years on from first tying the knot.
The retired footballer, 41, and mum-of-four Abbey, 36, shared a passionate kiss on a beach in the Maldives last month as they recreated one of the original pictures taken at their wedding in 2011.
Peter and Abbey whisked their four children and other members of their family off to a private island in the Maldives at the end of last year, as they declared their love for one another again with a sweet beach ceremony.
While Abbey wore a creation from designer Giles Deacon for her original stint as a bride 11 years ago, this time around the Liverpool-born star opted for a daring lace dress created by her friend and dressmaker Silvia.
Podcast host Peter gushed how his wife gave him "butterflies" as she walked down the aisle in the completely sheer lace gown, which showed off her lingerie.
The dad-of-four ditched his shoes and went barefoot in the sand for one shot, as he whisked Abbey off her feet as they paid homage to one of the snaps taken during their 2011 wedding ceremony in Leicester.
Abbey and Peter tied the knot for the second time on December 17 at the Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort, where villa prices range anywhere between £700 to £5,000 per night.
Despite getting engaged in 2009, the happy couple didn’t actually wed until 2011 in a lavish ceremony filled with family, friends and celebrity faces.
"We started as a young couple together, and now here we are with our four kids walking us down the aisle. I feel like the luckiest person on earth," Abbey told HELLO! magazine when discussing her latest ceremony.
"We were going to renew our vows on our ten-year anniversary, but with lockdown, we couldn’t do it… Pete’s quite romantic at heart; he has definitely earned himself brownie points for the next few years."
Peter added: "Abbey looked incredible, and even after 11 years, I still got butterflies when she walked down the aisle, it was a stunning island, but Ab stole the show – I’m a lucky man."
The couple's four children, Sophia, 11, Liberty, seven, Johnny, four, and Jack, three, were all present to watch their mum and dad exchange vows and "loved" jetting off to the private island for the ceremony.
Abbey gushed how while it's hard raising four young children at times, she feels "so lucky" to still be loved-up with Peter after all these years.
The happy couple first met in a bar in Abbey’s home city of Liverpool in 2006, but briefly split later the same year as Peter represented England at the European Cup being held in Germany.
Peter released a statement at the time which read: "Whilst I do not ordinarily comment upon matters relating to my private life, I have read with dismay various recently articles and reports about my "relationship" with Abbey Clancy.
"In light of this, I wish to make the situation absolutely clear: Abbey and I were in the very early stages of a relationship which, for a number of reasons, I decided a few weeks ago to end, and I accordingly informed Abbey of my decision."
The two stars reconciled and went on to tie the knot and welcome four children into the world together.
