Abattoir worker who stabbed colleague with boning knife appeals jail term

AN abattoir worker who used a boning knife to stab a colleague through the hand after an argument over a mobile phone charger at Singleton looks set to avoid spending any time behind bars.

Samoan national Rudolf Salisa, 33, who has been in Australia for the past year on a working visa, was in August jailed for a maximum of 18 months, with a non-parole period of one year after he pleaded guilty to stabbing his 35-year-old housemate.
