This is not an isolated incident, as another mansion on Sunset Boulevard has also fallen victim to squatters, who defaced the property with graffiti.
Neighbors in the vicinity of the abandoned mansion on Mulholland Drive have expressed concerns about the safety hazards posed by the squatters. Incidents of crime have been reported, with one neighbor recounting an attack involving steel rebar and a beer bottle. Both properties are owned by John Powers Middleton, a notable film producer recognized for his work on films such as 'Oldboy' and 'Manchester by the Sea'.
