An abandoned shop on a busy Edinburgh street is set to be turned into a new hot food takeaway.
The unit, at 132 Gorgie Road, has lain empty for some time having previously operated as a Utility Store. Now, the shop is set to be restored and turned into a takeaway named Hyderabadi Paradise.
The shop forms part of a four-storey tenement building and is also up for sale on multiple property sites such as NovaLoca. The advertisement reads: "The subjects comprise a ground floor retail unit as part of a larger four storey stone built tenement property surmounted by what we assume is a pitched and slated roof.

"The subjects benefit from a full height display window with access being afforded through a framed and glazed entrance door to the right-hand side. There is also steel roller shuttering externally for security purposes."
According to a proposed plan, the takeaway will benefit from a spacious customer area and toilet, although it is unclear if the customer area will be used as an indoor seating area.
