- Aaron Sorkin revealed that Jesse Eisenberg turned down the offer to reprise his role as Mark Zuckerberg in the upcoming film, The Social Reckoning.
- Sorkin spent three days attempting to persuade Eisenberg with detailed arguments, but the actor remained unmotivated by the creative pitch or financial offers.
- “I knew what the studio was offering him to do it, but money does not motivate Jesse. It’s infuriating,” Sorkin told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Saturday. “If anything, money is a disincentive for him. It’s admirable. He’s very concerned about raising his kids with too much money.”
- Jeremy Strong will replace Eisenberg in the role of Zuckerberg for the Sorkin-directed project, which is scheduled for release on October 9.
- The Social Reckoning will also star actors Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White.
