Aaron Rodgers Shares Serious Praise for New Jets OC Hackett

With speculation swirling over Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers's next move, a familiar name from his recent past is resurfacing.

That would be Jets offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who served as Rodgers’s offensive coordinator for three seasons in Green Bay. It was under Hackett’s tutelage that Rodgers rejuvenated his career, winning MVP awards in 2020 and ’21.

Rodgers had nothing but praise for his former offensive coordinator while speaking on the Pat McAfee show on Tuesday.

"Love Hack. Hack is my guy. Love him and Megan and the kids," Rodgers said. "They're really special to me. We really bonded when he was in Green Bay. He made it fun. He made the room fun. He made the weeks fun."

In 2022, Hackett accepted the Broncos head coaching position and Rodgers remained with the Packers. Both floundered, as Denver fired Hackett the day after Christmas and Green Bay went 8–9 and missed the playoffs.

Despite their mutual recent failures, rumors connecting the quarterback to New York have been swirling.

Rodgers told McAfee he hadn't made a decision on his future, which has been in doubt since the Packers lost 20–16 to the Lions to end their season on Jan. 8.
