Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered an injury only a handful of snaps into last night’s win over the Bills.
At the time, the team called it an ankle injury, but now an MRI has confirmed that Rodgers has a torn Achilles, confirming the worst fears about his condition.

Zach Wilson eventually led the Jets to an upset win over the Bills, 22-16. However, this still qualifies as one of the most-devastating major injuries in NFL history.
Not only is Rodgers definitely not playing in 2023, but his age calls into question the possibility that this is a career-ending injury. Rodgers will turn 40 years old in December and the number of pro athletes who have returned from an Achilles tear at that age is… not long.
Hopefully that isn’t the case and we’ll all get to see Rodgers compete again. As much as he’s been a rival over the last decade plus for the Sehaawks, this would be a tragic way to end such a storied career.
