Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has spent the past few weeks beginning his recovery from his torn Achilles, spending the time at his California home away from the team. However, that may change for the Jets’ game against the Chiefs on Sunday night.
If Rodgers is cleared by doctors to fly this week, he plans attend the Jets game on Sunday Night Football, according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini. Even if doctors do not clear Rodgers to fly this week, it’s only a matter a time before he’s able to rejoin the team, as the eventual expectation has been for him to watch games from the owner’s box.
While appearing on the Pat McAfee Show earlier this week, Rodgers hinted at the possibility he would attend Sunday night’s game.
“You never know who you’re going to see at the game,” he said.
Sunday’s game is likely to be a star-studded affair, as Taylor Swift is expected to attend the game amid her reported romance with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
It wouldn’t be the first time that Rodgers and Swift were in MetLife Stadium at the same time this year, as Rodgers attended a Swift concert in East Rutherford in May.
