The question of when Aaron Rodgers will retire is expected to come up a lot during the 2023 season as the new Jets quarterback will turn 40 in December.
While Rodgers previously told reporters that he plans to play “for the foreseeable future” with the Jets, the four-time MVP seemed to further emphasize this idea on Thursday when talking about his time with the team thus far.
“I love being around the young energy, the excitement,” Rodgers said. “There’s a great feel to this team, guys who are young and super talented on their first contracts, many of them. ... When you have so many great players on rookie deals, it’s pretty exciting, knowing you can do something. You’ve got a good window. It’s not just a one-year thing where you can be competitive, which is fun.”
The dude's just havin' fun.

Rodgers still hasn’t explicitly said he won’t retire after the 2023 season, but it sounds like for now he expects to stay in New York for more than just one season. Only time will tell what decision the quarterback will make.
