Aaron Rodgers announces he underwent successful surgery on his Achilles

Aaron Rodgers took to Instagram Thursday night to share the news that he underwent successful surgery Wednesday on his torn Achilles that he suffered early in the game Monday night against the Bills.

“Surgery went great yesterday,” Rodgers posted. “Thank you for all the love and support. And thanks to the GOAT Dr. (Neal S.) ElAttrache and his staff for starting me on the road to recovery.”

ElAttrache is based out of Los Angeles and is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Dodgers.

It certainly will be a long road to recovery but a successful surgery is always a good start. It’s not a guarantee Rodgers will return in 2024, but it’s hard to imagine he would end his career off an injury like this when he still feels he has some has left in the tank.

For now, it’ll be Zach Wilson leading the charge as the 1-0 Jets head to Dallas Sunday for a date with the 1-0 Cowboys.
