The war of words is cranking up on the back of a dramatic deadline day with the big one only two days away.
Rangers have spent the final hours of the window looking to complete a stunning move for Juventus star Aaron Ramsey.
And the thrilling news has got Gers fans fancying their chances of getting one over their old chums Celtic at Parkhead on Wednesday night.
Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, said: “I had a chuckle reading the Hotline on Monday. It seems that Rangers are wasting their time turning up on Wednesday.
“We have had to endure excuse after excuse and delay after delay as Celtic were not ready for this clash.
“It's always tough going to Celtic Park but I am sure that Rangers are ready. It worries me what excuse Celtic will have left on Thursday morning as we are extremely bored of all the injustice claims.”
John Scott, via email, said: “This is the free-flowing Celtic side who struggled against Alloa. Come on Aaron Ramsey – shut them up.
Craig Wilson, Kirkintilloch, said: “Got to laugh at these Celtic fans proclaiming they are playing some sort of swashbuckling football swatting teams away.
“A last minute winner against Utd, a golden goal winner against Ross County and if not for a penalty miss against Hearts more dropped points.
“The Real Rangers turns up on Wednesday and cuts out silly errors, we win, Simple as that.”
But Hoops fans are just as confident.
Seamie Gallagher, Glasgow, said: “After Saturdays dramatic results and performances, the pendulum appears to be swinging Celtic’s way.
“Destiny is back in our own hands and we can smell the Treble.”
Bud Hay, Dumfries, said: “I nearly choked on my cornflakes reading Rangers are going to win 56 trophies.
“They will have to win at Paradise first and I will be able to smell the fear from Ibrox when Celtic go top on Wednesday.”
There was plenty of advice for both Old Firm bosses over their team selections.
Jimmy Mac, Glasgow, said: “Gio van Bronckhorst must play two strikers against Celtic – Kemar Roofe and Fashion Sakala.
“It’s clear to every Rangers fan Cedric Itten is never a centre forward also GVB needs Ryan Jack and Steve Davis orchestrating the mid field.
“He must play our best players and not fringe players to win.”
Robert S Pender emailed: “Rangers need a strong front man as I’m afraid Itten is not good enough.
“When Bassey pushed forward he caused panic. Why not as a temporary measure let him lead the attack?”
At Celtic, Paul Price, Belfast, said: “I'd stick big Christopher Julien in the middle of park with Nir Bitton being suspended, even if we get 70 mins out of him, as I haven’t been impressed with James McCarthy and his ability to last the pace.”
Old Firm fans also like to fight it out over who has the best support.
Chris Lowe, Yoker, said: “Got to laugh at resident comedian Gordon Ashley who claims it’s the greatest fans that have sung Celtic to victory in games.
“Celtic fans are the most fined in Europe through their bad behaviour."
John Robertson, South Queensferry, said: “Ashley’s precious Celtic fans have cost their club fortunes in fines over their behaviour.
“The best fans? Aye right. Celtic didn’t finish second last season because there were no fans – it was because they had no decent players.”
Danny Robertson, Paisley, said: “Lauding the Celtic fans? Tell that to the security staff, police and last season's playing and managerial staff who were exposed to the antics outside Celtic Park.
“It's amazing how some people have such short memories.”
Finally, maybe Celtic should have more players out banned for the clash.
Arthur Wylie emailed: “Referee Euan Anderson booked two Celtic players on Saturday.
“What about the crowd of them who left the pitch to celebrate their team's winning goal in the last minute with their supporters?
“Surely, going by the rules, every one of them should have been cautioned. Will the SFA now impose these cautions on the guilty players?"
