Aaron Ramsey to Rangers a Juventus transfer 'nightmare' as pundit reveals talks with star's agent

Rangers will pay out "next to nothing" for Aaron Ramsey claims Tam McManus as he opened up on talks with the player's agent.

The club are set to complete a late move for the Juventus playmaker in a sensational swoop for the Premiership leaders.

The 31-year-old has struggled for game time in Turin and is finalising the details of his transfer after jetting into Glasgow.

And according to pundit and Record Sport columnist McManus, they have landed a bargain in the former Arsenal star.

He states that he has spoken to Ramsey's representative David Baldwin and the Serie A giants will let the Welshman leave for a paltry price.

McManus told The PLZ Football Show : "I think it's boom or bust for Rangers this season.

"Everything is in that basket to win the league and get into that Champions League. That £40million kitty at the end of it would be huge, and give them a huge advantage over Celtic as well.

"Aaron Ramsey, from what I've heard from his agent Dave Baldwin, is that Rangers are paying next to nothing on that deal.

"I don't know how that has came about, but he said Juventus have had a bit of a nightmare.

"Fair play to Aaron Ramsey for coming to Rangers. I think he could of went to the English Premier League, but he's decided to go to Glasgow for a different challenge.

"He wants to test himself at Rangers, and it's a phenomenal signing."
