Aaron Ramsey has been tipped to link up with former Swansea City boss Steve Cooper at Nottingham Forest this summer.
Forest have been very busy in this window, with Cooper already bringing 11 players on board as he prepares for his first campaign in the top flight.
Fellow Welsh international Neco Williams has already arrived following an £18million move from Liverpool, and it seems the bookies are confident that Ramsey will join him.
The former Arsenal star is officially a free agent after leaving Juventus earlier this week, bringing an end to his time in Turin, where he played 69 games for the Biaconeri over three years.
Ramsey spent the second half of last season on loan with Scottish giants Rangers, but largely failed to make an impact at Ibrox during an injury-plagued stint which was capped off with a penalty shootout miss against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League final.
The Wales star's contract with Juve was due to expire in the summer of 2023, but he has now left the club after leaving by mutual consent.
In a short statement confirming the 31-year-old's exit on social media, Juve said: "Aaron Ramsey's contract with Juventus has been mutually terminated. All the best, Aaron Ramsey!"
Ramsey's departure from Turin has been on the cards for some time, with the midfielder not even handed a new squad number ahead of the new campaign. His exit hasn't yet been acknowledged on Juve's official website, either.
Attention now turns to Ramsey's next move, with the player himself understood to be keen on a return to the Premier League as he bids to get himself in the best possible shape ahead of the upcoming World Cup campaign in Qatar.
Hometown club Cardiff City had previously been mooted as a possibility, and were previously favourites with the bookies, although the possibility of a return to the capital has always been heavily played down by sources. City are now 12/1 to complete a move, with the United States tipped as a more likely possibility at 5/1.
