Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale started for England last night in the Three Lions' 0-0 draw against Italy at Molineux, as Gareth Southgate's men's winless start to their Nations League campaign continued.
The positives coming out of the game for England was the performances from the backline, with Ramsdale in particular impressing, making a number of top saves to deny the Azzurri from taking all three points, one of which was a superb point-blank stop to deny Sandro Tonali.
Jordan Pickford is currently still the number one for the national team, with Ramsdale and Burnley's Nick Pope behind in the pecking order.

But the former Sheffield United keeper has stated that he doesn't consider himself as a number two, reiterating that he will be pushing Pickford to the maximum.
“By no means I am second choice,” Ramsdale said. “I am pushing me, I am pushing him (Pickford). If I can put performances in like that a little bit more when I get the chance, I think I will be pushing him all the way.
"There are a lot of very good English goalkeepers not at this camp. And it’s a great challenge here - Jordan, myself and Nick (Pope) push each other every day.”
Whilst Ramsdale certainly suffered a clear dip in the final two months of the Premier League season, the 24-year-old has had a superb first year at the Emirates on a whole, with his quality in possession elevating the Gunners' ability to build passages of play out from the back.
His on-the-ball prowess, particularly in how he is able to deliver forward progressive passes under pressure places him at an advantage when compared to Pickford, who tends to hit the ball long in these scenarios.
Ramsdale will be hoping that he gets the nod on Tuesday against Hungary, as this would be another great opportunity for the 6ft 2in stopper to showcase his talent.
