Arsenal's impressive start to the 2022/23 season continued this weekend with a 2-0 win over Wolves at Molineux. The Gunners pounced on Manchester City's slip-up earlier in the day against Brentford to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points.
Skipper Martin Odegaard bagged a second-half brace for Mikel Arteta's men following a tight opening 45 minutes in the Black Country. There were also more positives on the injury front, with Arsenal's World Cup stars escaping any injuries too, though midfielder Granit Xhaka was forced off with what looked like sickness in the 16th minute.
Arteta's non-international players will now enjoy time to themselves before heading off to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp ahead of the return of domestic football post-World Cup. And they do so as league leaders and another fixture ticked off.

After the game, Odegaard was joined by England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale speaking to Sky Sports and the Norwegian cleared up any doubts that the opening goal was Bukayo Saka's. Asked whether the goal was his, he said: "Definitely mine. I think it was a cross then the goalkeeper pushed it out then rebound.
"We have to stay calm, we’ve said it many times, there’s a long way until the end of the season, we want to play every game like it’s a final and that’s all."
Ramsdale was shocked by Odegaard's admission that the goal was his. He said: "I saw Bukayo sprinting off I thought it was his. Oh, well done mate."
Odegaard joked about beating the England international to the ball in the box. He said: "I was a little bit quicker than him [Saka] wasn’t I?"
