After their latest Super Bowl failure, there’s been no shortage of roasts of the San Francisco 49ers. Kyle Shanahan’s bizarre quote about his overtime strategy comes to mind first and foremost, but people who hate the team haven’t missed the opportunity to dance on the 49ers’ grave.
Aaron Donald is one of these said people.
In a story posted to his Instagram on Monday evening, the Los Angeles Rams superstar defensive tackle posted what initially felt like a random picture of him enjoying his Super Bowl ring. Except that happened around 1.5 years ago, meaning Donald’s photo choice and timing (the Monday after the Super Bowl) probably weren’t all that random.
It seems he just wanted to pour salt in the 49ers’ wound:
