It seems that Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has made his first coaching hire of the offseason. It was reported earlier that Seattle Seahawks assistant coach Aaron Curry was joining the Steelers as a linebackers coach and Curry hinted on Twitter it is a done deal. Curry officially listed himself as Steelers linebacker coach in his bio.
Curry coached the edge rushers for the Seahawks last season and has been an assistant coach with them since 2019. 2023 will mark Curry’s fifth year coaching in the NFL.
The Seahawks selected Curry No. 4 overall in the 2009 NFL draft but he never panned out as a player. However, it seems Curry has found his home in coaching his old position and hopefully can help get the Steelers pass rush back on track.
