Aaron Chalmers has officially made the switch from MMA to boxing and has revealed that he's already been in talks with Tommy Fury.
The former Geordie Shore star officially retired from MMA last week, ending with a solid 5-2 record after fighting in BAMMA and Bellator.
Chalmers, 34, has now officially signed with the Sky Sports promotion Boxxer and already has his first fight confirmed - appearing in front of his hometown fans in Newcastle on April 2.
Coached by renowned trainer Adam Booth, Chalmers will appear on the undercard of Savannah Marshall's world title fight against Femke Hermans at the Newcastle Arena.
A move from MMA to boxing had been proposed to Chalmers months ago, when there was speculation he could fight fellow influencer Tommy Fury.
Former Love Island star Fury, 22, is the younger half brother of heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury.
It didn't come to fruition but Chalmers has been working hard in training and will make his promotional bow.
He has also revealed that he hopes to fight Fury in the future, while also eyeing YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul as a potential opponent down the line.
Chalmers told the Sun: "I don’t know Tommy, but I know he probably gets as much stick as I do. So maybe that’s something we can look at down the line. He’s a big lad, stuff like that, it interests us, because it’s a challenge, it’s a big fight, maybe not for so-called ‘boxing fans’.
“But I’ll bring Geordie Shore fans to the boxing, which is not a bad thing."
He added: "Obviously, you’ve got your Jake Pauls and all that, going down that route. If one of them fights come up, that’s my family sorted for life.
"Not that I’m chasing that from the off, but I know with the right noise made, something like that could happen.
"Then the sacrifices would be worth it, as I’d never have to work a day in my life again."
