Aaron Carter says he is taking his ex to court for defamation, declaring the case will turn into "Amber Heard Johnny Depp 2.0".
The singer and former child star, 34, even issued a plea to Camille Vasquez, who represented Johnny in the shocking US defamation case, to help him.
Aaron said he intends to sue his on-off girlfriend Melanie Martin for defamation after she accused him of breaking her ribs, which he denies, and says the claims nearly cost him his career.
The singer was speaking on Sunday in L.A when he announced his plans.
Melanie, who shares a baby son with Aaron, claimed in March this year that the couple had an argument in February which turned violent.
She made the claims in documents which requested a restraining order, alleging that he punched her in the left rib and pushed her.
In documents seen by Blast, Melanie said she went to the doctor and had x-rays, with the diagnosis being "3 broken ribs."
However, a few days later, The OnlyFans user retracted her statement, saying on Instagram that Aaron did not hit her.
Melanie wrote: "Just wanted to make a statement I've had a bad time with post pardom depression. Aaron never hit me I was angry because I made a mistake a bad one."
Continuing the statement, Melanie said she is going to the doctor for help with her postpartum depression.
She went on: "I said things that weren't true and made a mistake."
Speaking to a journalist on Sunday, Aaron, wearing an orange and blue hoodie and a thick chain necklace, said: "Unfortunately it looks like it's going to turn into Amber Heard and Johnny Depp 2.0.
"Because I have to unfortunately sue Melanie for defamation of character for lying about me breaking her ribs."
Explaining the impact of the allegations, The former Dancing with the Stars contestant said: "It almost ruined my career so I have no other choice but to sue her."
The singer then went on to ask Camile Vasquez to work on his case, saying: "Camille if you hear this message, please help me. Call me and find a way to contact me personally and I would love to talk to you.
He continued: "I know that you can help me win this because I have the facts, it's a win win."
The journalist who was filming and interviewing Aaron then asked if there would be any financial gain from suing Melanie, to which Aaron replied: "You can't get blood out of a rock right? That's not the point. The point is my career."
Camille rose to prominence thanks to her questioning of Amber Heard, as part of Johnny Depp's legal team, during the trial which concluded in June.
Johnny successfully sued his ex-wife over an op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post in 2018, in which she discussed her experiences with domestic abuse.
He was awarded $8 million of the $50 million he sought in damages.
Meanwhile, Aquaman actress Amber won one of her counter claims and was given $2 million of the $100 million countersuit.
The Mirror has approached Melanie Martin for comment.
