An £80,000 roadworks scheme in Renfrewshire has been postponed.
The month-long project planned for an area two kilometres south of Howwood was due to begin on Monday.
However, Amey – on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the network management contract for the south-west trunk road unit – confirmed the works will be rescheduled for another time.
The roads firm added: “Rescheduled dates will be announced in due course.”
On the cards when the works do take place are repairs to the spandrel wall of the culvert carrying the A737 over Risk Burn an replacement of the vehicle restraint system (VRS).
Amey say the scheme will benefit around 22,081 vehicles using this route each day by improving the condition and safety of the structure and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future when the project goes ahead.
However, motorists will be warned to expect delays with traffic management in place.
