Traffic Scotland has warned drivers of severe delays on the Edinburgh City Bypass after a collision on Tuesday afternoon.
Lane 2 of the westbound section of the A720 was blocked off in the early afternoon. Just before 3pm, Traffic Scotland tweeted: "The westbound carriageway is currently restricted due to a broken down vehicle.
"Police and TRISS are en-route."

Within minutes, they gave an update on the situation adding that the delays continued due to a 'collision'. Later in the afternoon, the westbound carriageway was fully opened again.
Just after 4pm, Traffic Scotland tweeted: "The westbound carriageway is now cleared and all lanes are running after an earlier collision, traffic remains heavy in the area.
"Current delay approximately 50 minutes."
Delays are anticipated to continue into the early evening. No further information on the drivers involved in the collision has been released.
