A woman was cut free following a three-crash which closed part of the A52. The northbound carriageway of the A52 Clifton Boulevard was closed for hours following the incident on Wednesday morning (March 23).
The Clifton Flyover was shut by police who were called out at 7.35am. A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said a woman was cut out of one of the cars involved in the crash. The carriageway, which remained closed while the vehicles were recovered, has since reopened.
The police spokesman said: "We received a report of a collision involving three cars in Ednaston Road, Nottingham, shortly after 7.35am today (Wednesday, March 23). Fire service and paramedics also attended the scene.

"A female driver was cut out of one of the cars. Her injuries are not currently believed to be serious. The A52 northbound has been closed while the incident is dealt with. It remains closed while the vehicles are recovered. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible." Traffic had been queuing back to The Nottingham Knight Roundabout. And the road has since reopened.
Nottingham Travelwise, the city council's traffic monitoring Twitter account, added: "Vehicles have been recovered from the scene. Emergency services leaving the scene and reopening A52 Clifton Boulevard. There are still some delays on A6005 Beeston Road and A52 Clifton Boulevard so please allow some extra time for your journey. Thank you for your patience."
