Sections of the A52 at Gamston roundabout are set to close as part of ongoing roadworks.
National Highways confirmed on Friday, March 4 that changes in the layout of their traffic management will start on Monday, March 7.
In the meantime, there will be overnight closures in the three nights running up to Monday to get equipment moved - and delays are expected as a result of this.
National Highways said in a tweet: "The layout of our traffic management will change on the A52 at Gamston roundabout in Nottingham from Monday, March 7.
"Sections of the road will be closed overnight on 4, 5 and 6 March so we can safely move all equipment.
" Please allow extra time for your journeys."
A four phase improvement project is being delivered by National Highways and is set to be completed by February 2023.
It will include a new 40mph speed limit on the approaches, exits and around the roundabout, to "improve safety on the approaches and pedestrian crossings".
It is part of an improvement scheme being carried out across the busy road, at junctions including in Radcliffe-on-Trent and with plans to also improve its Stragglethorpe and Silverdale junctions.
