A video has been circulating on TikTok recently of a couple’s proposal at the Basilica Cathedral in St. Louis’s Central West End. In it, you can see a man kneeling, presumably ready to pop the question to the girl standing in front of him, but before he can another man steps in front of the photographer.
However, it isn’t your run-of-the-mill proposal interruption. Without missing a beat, and with a slight manic tinge to his voice, the man confessed to murdering several people, going on to say, “I don’t want to kill anyone else.”
Another voice, confirmed to be the person with the man, can be heard saying, “Bradley” as they try to get him away from the camera.
The couple also confirmed that the incident was real.
The internet was quick to confirm the man’s identity as Bradley Drakesmith, a local attorney, but no connection to any murders has yet been made. Currently, speculation in the community is that it is related to a potential mental health crisis or possibly narcotics, but no confirmations either way have yet been made.
One user commented, “This is going to be the most ? intro to the Netflix documentary.”
