“A sophisticated, detailed design that produces highly expressive tones with immersive depth and dimension”: Boss unveils the Katana-Mini X, a portable $149 10W amp with FX, tuner and Bluetooth

BOSS Katana
Boss Katana Mini-X: the new take-anywhere practice amp from Boss. Suitable for guitar or bass, it comes equipped with amp models and effects.

Boss has expanded its Katana series with a take-anywhere 10-watt guitar amp that might be super-portable with a compact 5” speaker, but promises “full-bodied” electric guitar tones.

We say electric but the Katana-Mini X will similarly welcome the signal from an acoustic electric guitar or bass. There are three amp types, or “characters” as Boss refers to them, all powered by Boss’ Tube Logic tech, each with an alternate voicing.
