Amazon is facing a class-action lawsuit accusing it of misleading Prime Video customers into believing they own movies they’ve purchased when in reality they’re only buying a license to watch the content, which can be revoked at any time if Amazon loses the rights to a title.
Via The Hollywood Reporter, the proposed lawsuit claims: "violations of California unfair competition, false advertising and consumer legal remedies laws. It seeks unspecified damages, including disgorgement of profits and punitive damages for allegedly intentionally malicious conduct."
