The sprout recall tied to a multistate outbreak has widened to a second product, and the newest lots left the facility two days before the company announced it. That timing is the reason this update matters more than a case count would suggest.
Sprouts of Minneapolis expanded its voluntary recall to include Robust Radish Sprout Mix in 5-ounce cups, according to the FDA notice on the recall expansion. The affected product carries barcode 087906000075 and lot numbers 223, 226, 230 and 233, and was distributed between August 13 and August 26 to wholesale distributors and grocery stores in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
