A Place in the Sun viewers distracted by shower 'problem' on Spanish househunt

A Place in the Sun viewers were distracted by a "problem" with the shower in a property on today's show.

Ben Hillman fronted Monday's edition of the popular Channel 4 programme. The expert was showing Whitney and Rose around five properties as they aimed to find their dream home in Spain.

The married couple were searching for a property in La Zenia in Costa Blanca and had a budget of £80,000. The search started with a two bed apartment in Lomas de Cabo Roig, but the buyers were searching for somewhere more in the heartland of La Zenia.

This prompted Ben to show the couple around a two bed townhouse in La Florida. The property was priced at £83,292 and boasted a communal pool and gardens.

The buyers were impressed by the home, but viewers following the show on Twitter were baffled when they spotted the shower was located in the sunroom.

Beckie said: "Sunroom with shower?"

Victoria added: "Why’s the shower in the sun room?"

Terry posted : "What a bizarre place to put a shower"

The buyers decided against the home and continued the search. They were wowed by the fourth property on the episode, which was a two bed apartment in Punta Prima.

The home was initially priced at £80,825, but the valuation increased during the show when the owner decided to include the garage as part of the deal. Whitney and Rose still pursued the property and eventually secured the apartment and garage package for £85,000.
