Laura Hamilton has updated her followers after she rushed her son Rocco to hospital and was given the 'worst news'.
A Place In The Sun host Laura, 40, issued a statement on her Instagram late on Wednesday as her nine-year-old son was admitted to hospital after injuring himself. Writing on social media, she said: "This morning's antics... Poor Rocco has a buckle fracture to his wrist!"
The property expert, who shares Rocco and Tahlia with her ex-husband Alex Goward, shared an image of an X-ray on her Instagram story and opened up to fans. She added: "No contact sport for six weeks... The worst news for a sports obsessed little boy."
The mum-of-two shared a snap on social media showcasing her kids enjoying sports and told fans they had been keeping busy with a swimming gala followed by football training.
The former couple tied the knot in 2012, but split last January as their marriage came under strain during the Covid lockdown.
Laura confirmed the sad news on her Instagram page as she shared a photo of a quote which read: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
She then wrote: "This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated. Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time. Laura."
Speaking about the couple's decision to go their separate ways, Laura told HELLO!: "It was a decision we both came to. We have an enormous amount of respect for each other, but we are now on different paths.
"At the point it was announced, we'd already overcome a lot of difficult times. But I am lucky that we have the relationship and respect for each other that we have, and our children's happiness will always be our priority."
