Jean Johansson faced a "challenge" over one couple's budget in the latest episode of A Place in the Sun. The Scots presenter was tasked with finding a dream pad for retired pair Linda and Peter, but the amount they had to spend was the lowest she had ever had to work with before.
The house hunters in last night's show were looking for a pad in Italy, and were focusing on the region of Abruzzo. The couple - a former NHS theatre nurse and a retired decorator respectively - said prior to beginning their search that they were open-minded about their future property.
They were pretty easy going when it came to requirements, but Jean said it was a "challenge" and she expressed concern about their £60,000 budget. After hearing about their plans, Jean explained to the retired couple: "I mean I have to say, I've never worked with a budget of £60,000, so it's going to be a challenge for me."
