A Place in the Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin has been supported by friends after sharing the devastating news he has been given six months to live after suffering from blurred vision while driving.
The 48-year-old, who also presents BBC ’s Escape To The Country, has been diagnosed with lung cancer which has spread to his brain. Jonnie said he had chosen to keep his illness private until now, but hopes sharing his diagnosis will encourage others to "make the most of every day".
The dad-of-three said the first warning sign of his illness came while he was filming A Place In The Sun in August 2020 in Italy, when his vision became blurry while driving.
