A Place In The Sun’s Danni Menzies takes a break as stolen moped 'takes her out'

A Place in the Sun star Danni Menzies hinted that she is 'unrecognisable' after being in an accident.

Taking to Instagram she said that she was going to be "quieter" on social media as she shared an image of a smashed up moped. She also shared a picture of her phone not recognising her to be unlocked.

The presenter said that she may be quieter on the social media platform over the coming days - as she processes what happened to her over the weekend.

Captioning the post with the moped on she wrote: "Sooooo…. On Saturday I was taken out (on the pavement!) by a stolen moped that lost control. Didn’t see it coming and it’s not looking pretty right now tbh. I’m sure I will be fine in a few weeks but in the meantime I will be a wee bit quiet on here."

She posted a second image showing her phone with the message: "Face not recognised". Danni captioned it: "Looking forward to this not being a thing."

A Place In The Sun is filmed for a staggering 48 weeks out of the year, with around 120 episodes filmed in any twelve months. Danni is one of the most famous faces on the show, having presented A Place In The Sun since 2016. Danni announced she was leaving the show earlier this year, though there are still plenty of episodes she filmed that have yet to be shown.

Away from her role on A Place In The Sun, Danni is also a model. Last year, Danni also took part in an MTV dating show called Celebrity Ex in the City. Discussing her dislike of dating, Danni told the Express: “Dating in general, I find incredibly cringe anyway, which is probably why it's something that I avoid.”
