A Place In The Sun host Jonnie Irwin has snapped back at a cruel troll who made a vile comment online about him on Wednesday, amid his heartbreaking terminal cancer battle.
It comes as the 49-year-old presenter was given just six months to live when he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer which eventually spread to his brain back in August 2020.
The father of three, who is married to Jessica Holmes, at first kept his diagnosis lowkey but eventually went public with the news back in December.
This week he took to Instagram to reveal he was gearing up for a photo shoot as he shared a snap of his potential outfit choices, which attracted a cruel troll in the comments.
He posted a photo of a couple of shirts and wrote: "Photo shoot tomorrow and new garments arrived bang on time. As ever, all about the layers."
One person seemed to take issue with the post and questioned Jonnie about his plans, which prompted a just response, according to reports by the MailOnline.
The vile troll penned: "Shouldn't you be spending your final days/weeks with your kids rather than doing all this paid publicity? Just saying."
The presenter responded in the comments section of his post: "It was a shoot WITH my family but just to confirm. You are the worst human being I can imagine meeting."
And other followers of the TV presenter weren't impressed by the rude comment either, with some appearing to describe it as "cruel," "awful" and "appalling" in their responses.
The Escape To The Country host said he went public with his tragic diagnosis last year after saying he is making as many memories as possible with his wife and three sons - Rex, three, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.
It comes after Jonnie said he is planning to record video messages so he can still speak to his beloved wife and three children after he passes away.
Jonnie appeared on Morning Live earlier this month and left hosts Rav Wilding and Kimberley Walsh with "goosebumps" after he watched a segment about a woman battling cancer who records a short clip each day for her loved ones and said he plans to do the same.
He said: "It's amazing to think I too could speak to my wife and children after I pass away. My diagnosis has taken a lot from me but it has given me the ability to prepare."
Reflecting on his own actions so far, Jonnie said: "I've got a lifetime of memories and while over the years many have been stored online and whilst I've been getting my affairs in order since my diagnosis two and a half years ago, I've not given much thought to my digital legacy.
"I've posted thousands of pictures and digital images online but when I pass on I've got no idea what will happen to those images."
