A Place In The Sun buyers turn down homes due to 'invisible' pet

A Place In The Sun buyers blamed their dog, who was absent from the viewings, for not liking any of the properties they were shown.

Property expert Lee Juggurnauth flew off to Spain’s Almeria Coast to help house hunters Brian and Lorna find the perfect holiday home. The keen lawn bowlers planned to bring their pet dog, Angus, with them, so outside space was key.

Lee showed them the very best of what their £150,000 budget could get them but there was a consistent issue with the properties. Brian and Lorna seemed keen on the homes they were shown but a third, absent voice kept ringing in their ears.

Their dog, Angus, was the only opinion that mattered as they turned down the first three properties based on his taste. Lorna continuously said it wasn't big enough or Angus "wouldn't like it", forcing Lee to essentially find a home, not on the buyers' needs, but their dog.

Lee mentioned the majority of the run has been "based on the option of their dog Angus." Despite all of the homes being spacious and checking their criteria, the lack of a grassy garden area was a deal breaker despite being right on the beach, perfect for Angus to run along.

Aware of the fussy nature of their dog, one viewer said: "They can blame their invisible dog when they don’t put a bid in for a property at the end of the programme."

Another added: "He's worse than bloody Laura for constantly mentioning that dog!"

A third viewer said: "Property 3. Angus says it's not big enough."

A final comment added: "The dog doesn’t need the back patio, the front is big enough as is the roof."

In the end, Lorna and Brian managed to find their perfect home in the form of a detached property for £155,000.
