DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara has revealed that he has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor, following nearly two years of a series of unexplained health problems. In a public statement, Fafara shared that the diagnosis followed extensive medical evaluations after he experienced persistent symptoms that affected his daily life.

He shared that the tumor is noncancerous, but explained that it still requires medical attention and ongoing treatment planning. His announcement has prompted renewed discussion about benign brain tumors and the importance of investigating persistent neurological symptoms rather than dismissing them.
