If you’ve always thought you’d like to try your hand in the modelling world, Designer Brands Cosmetics and ICON model management have teamed up in a search for some fresh faces for a new beauty campaign.
The DB Cosmetics X ICON Management Unsigned Model Search is an annual tradition, in which the brands seek up to eight women to front DB Cosmetics’ ‘I Design Me’ campaign. The search places an emphasis on diversity, with few prerequisites required for entrants. The callout is for anyone over the age of 18, with people of all sizes, ethnicities and abilities encouraged to apply.
“Over the past 6 years The Unsigned Model Search has become a platform for redefining beauty standards in the modelling industry,” ICON founder and CEO Chelsea Bonner said. “We are excited to continue this journey with DB Cosmetics, a brand that shares our vision of inclusivity and diversity.”
Online applications are now open, with selected participants then invited to participate in castings to be held in Brisbane (October 2), Sydney (October 3) and Melbourne (October 4) before finals are held on October 8. Home & Away actress Sarah Roberts is headlining the event.
“I’m thrilled to be part of an initiative that not only celebrates beauty in all its forms but also empowers everyone to chase their dreams,” she shared. “The Unsigned Model Search is about finding exciting, authentic talent and I can’t wait to see the incredible individuals who will step forward this year.”
The finals will be judged by marie claire‘s Editor Georgie Abay, ICON Management Founder and CEO, Chelsea Bonner, Total Beauty Network CEO, Liz Webster, Ambassador Sarah Roberts, Total Beauty Network CMO, Amanda Connors, and the Daily Telegraph’s Entertainment Editor Jonathon Moran.
The winner/s will feature throughout the year as the faces of DB Cosmetics, receive $500-worth of product, a 12 month subscription to marie claire Australia, as well as a portfolio shoot and three-year contract with ICON Management.
