A new Scottish couple will join Channel 4’s hit show Gogglebox tonight in show shake-up
Glasgow-based couple Roisin and Joe will feature on the show after a recent plea to include a Scottish family in the line-up.
The duo, aged 23 and 25, will be entertaining viewers as they give their thoughts and opinions on popular TV shows Dancing On Ice and Starstruck.
They will be joined by fan favourites which include Leeds sisters Izzi and Ellie Warner, siblings Pete and Sophie Sandiford as well as best friends Jenny Newby and Lee Riley,
The newest Scottish couple have been together for four years and live at Joe’s family home after moving in together at the start of lockdown.
Announcing the news the official Gogglebox account wrote on Twitter: "Meet our new Scottish Goggleboxers Roisin and Joe! See you on the sofa for brand new #Gogglebox TONIGHT, 9pm on @Channel4."
The channel came under pressure to find a Scottish family to appear on the show after MPs demanded the programme reflect the make-up of the country.
Channel 4 later launched a dedicated casting team to find Scottish contestants after the backlash.
Gogglebox's newest family will join the Channel 4 show tonight when the show returns for another episode at 9pm.
