Across the five-day event at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, racegoers moved beyond conventional floral fascinators with miniature furniture, airborne butterflies, orchid-covered structures and pleated mesh that behaved more like sculpture than headwear.
Flowers and feathers remained central to the Ascot vocabulary, but the strongest looks treated them as raw materials rather than predictable finishing touches. The result was a collection of hats defined by scale, movement and a willingness to be photographed from every possible angle.
