A Manchester hotel is planning to launch a series of parties aimed at our four-legged friends. The so-called ‘pooch parties’ are happening at the newly opened Moxy Hotel in Spinningfields, and are said to be a ‘first ever’ for - or should that be fur? - the city.
The first one happens on May 1, with tickets costing £25 for entry for one adult and one dog of any age, with the festivities lasting from 1pm to 3pm. As for the activities on offer, it’s a varied range.
There will be a DJ, interactive games to play with your dog, including a ball pit and tunnels, and a photo booth to mark the occasion with unlimited pictures. Food-wise, there are 'bottomless' treats for canine attendees and, if you can handle the twee-ness, a glass of ‘pawsecco’ on arrival.
For the human contingent, there’s a collaboration with the people behind Hey Little Cupcakes, who will offer cupcakes for owners, and dog ice cream for the canines.
David Seed, general manager at the Moxy, said: “We are proud to be a pet friendly hotel and know the guilt a dog owner has when leaving their pooches behind.
“At Moxy everyone is welcome to bring their four-legged friend along, and to mark the occasion the team has curated a special party dedicated to them.
“This will be an exciting experience for all owners and dog lovers to enjoy”. Tickets can be purchased here.
