A man has died in Parc Prison in Bridgend

Prison Bridgend Swansea G4S

A man, believed to be from Swansea, has died at HM Prison Parc in Bridgend. The prison has confirmed that the man, Lewis Petryszyn, died on Friday, April 15, 2022. The death will be investigated by the Prison and Probation Ombudsman.

Mr Petryszyn's next of kin have been informed and G4S, which runs the prison, said its thoughts were with his friends and family at this difficult time. You can get more Swansea news and other story updates by subscribing to our newsletters here.

A spokesperson for G4S said: "A prisoner at HMP Parc, Mr Petryszyn, died on Friday, April 15, 2022. His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time.

"As with all deaths in prison, this will be investigated by the Prison and Probation Ombudsman."
