A look back at 90s Edinburgh fashion and all the trends you're bound to remember

The 1990s was an amazing decade for fashion, though there are definitely some trends we are keen to forget.

Like elsewhere, Edinburgh's youth were heavily influenced by the apparel and stylings they saw on TV and in magazines.

Boyband culture brought in a new hairstyle trend, the infamous curtains, while for girls, groups like Republica, Destiny's Child, All Saints and the Spice Girls helped usher in looks that would define the era.

It was a decade when denim, tracksuits, Fruit of the Loom jumpers, Naf Naf jackets, chinos, popper pants, boob tube dresses and platform soles were all the rage.
