'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' episode 2 release date and time: Here's when it's streaming on HBO Max

L-R: Dunk (Peter Claffey) and Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell) celebrate in a scene from "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms".

After a "Game of Thrones"-less 2025, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" has premiered on HBO Max, kicking off a bumper year that will see two Westeros-set shows coming to the streaming service ("House of the Dragon" season 3 is due this coming summer, in case you forgot).

This latest "Game of Thrones" spinoff isn't operating on quite as grand a scale as the Targaryens' series, though. As TG's Malcolm McMillan put it in his "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" season premiere review: ""A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" may look like Westeros, but it's a very different show." That's not to say it's less exciting, though, as George R.R. Martin's Dunk and Egg tales might differ in scale and tone, but they're no less entertaining. And, judging by the "Weeks Ahead" trailer, and all the promo footage we've for what's to come in the future, it's going to be an adventure worth sticking with.

If you're planning your streaming for the next couple of months, here's when you can expect to stream "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" episode 2 on HBO Max and elsewhere around the world.

What time does 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' episode 2 release on HBO Max?

"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" episode 2 begins streaming on HBO Max at 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, Jan. 25 in the U.S.

That shouldn't be a major surprise, as that's when the previous episode aired, and — pending any potential movement owing to Super Bowl LX — the same slot the rest of the series should occupy in the weeks to come.

Here's when the next episode of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" will drop elsewhere in the world:

  • U.K. – streaming from 3 a.m. GMT on Monday, Jan. 26 on NOW
  • Canada – 10 p.m. ET/PT on Crave
  • Australia – 2 .m. AEDT on HBO Max

If you were at all worried about the future of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," don't be: HBO has already confirmed this second "Game of Thrones" spinoff will be sticking around.

News of the show's renewal came back in November 2025. At that time, Casey Boys, Chairman and CEO, HBO and HBO Max Content, confirmed the show would be returning; expect it to air at some point in 2027.

This was confirmed at the same time we learned "House of the Dragon" had been renewed for a fourth installment, due in 2028.
