A’ja Wilson wasn’t satisfied with her 28-point performance against the Atlanta Dream, so she unraveled the Dallas Wings for 36 points and WNBA history instead.
A’ja Wilson hasn’t forgotten about that fourth-place MVP vote. I repeat — SHE HAS NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT THAT FOURTH-PLACE VOTE. A’ja might have already run away with the 2024 WNBA MVP title, and we haven’t even hit the season’s mid-way mark.
On May 31, Wilson and the Aces were upset by the Atlanta Dream. She scored 28 points, but she was 12-for-27 from the field. So, what did she do? A’ja dropped a HISTORIC 30-burger on the poor Dallas Wings. Per Vegas Sports Today, here’s what Wilson shared about her record-breaking outing:
“I feel like I try to put myself in situations that can make it a little bit easier on my teammates, and they find me in these different situations…so, I want to make sure when I am shooting, that I’m efficient in that.
I feel like Atlanta was an awful showing for me, and I was not satisfied with that. So, I wanted to make sure that in games now — in the future — that I can be efficient for my teammates [because] we’re all out there working hard.”
A’ja Wilson speaks on her bounce-back performance:
“I felt like Atlanta was an awful showing for me, and I wasn’t satisfied with that. I want to make sure that I can be efficient for my teammates, because we’re all out there working hard.”

Rightfully so, social media went wild over A’ja’s unbelievable night. Here’s how hoops fans reacted:

The run A’ja Wilson’s been on is foolish for real. Future first ballot Hall of Famer in her absolute prime right now. She’s out there moving at a different speed and cadence. Like watching great music get created.

A'ja Wilson got clocked in the face three times tonight, had a bandage over her nose because she was bleeding, dropped 36 points, shot 68% from the field, snagged 14 rebounds and had six steals
would love to see some commentary on this performance tomorrow on ALL the shows
