A'ja Wilson and Caitlin Clark made history in the WNBA this season, breaking records and earning top honors. Wilson became the first player to score over 1,000 points in a single season, averaging a record 26.9 points. Clark, on the other hand, shattered the league's single-season assist record and set a new rookie scoring mark.

Both players were unanimously selected for the AP Player and Rookie of the Year awards by a 15-member media panel. Wilson, who also secured the league's MVP title, finished the regular season with impressive stats, including 1,021 points, 451 rebounds, and 98 blocks.

Clark, who entered the league with high expectations, led the Indiana Fever to the playoffs for the first time since 2016. She set a new record with 337 assists and averaged 19.2 points per game. Off the court, Clark contributed to the WNBA's record ratings and attendance.

Other notable winners included Tiffany Hayes, who was named AP Sixth Woman of the Year, and Cheryl Reeve, who received the Coach of the Year award for her outstanding leadership with the Minnesota Lynx. Skylar Diggins-Smith was recognized as the Comeback Player of the Year after returning from maternity leave.

Dearica Hamby earned the Most Improved Player award for her significant performance improvement this season, while Napheesa Collier was named Defensive Player of the Year for her exceptional contributions to Minnesota's defense.

The AP All-WNBA first team featured Wilson, Clark, Napheesa Collier, Breanna Stewart, and Alyssa Thomas. The second team included Sabrina Ionescu, Kahleah Copper, Nneka Ogwumike, Kayla McBride, and Arike Ogunbowale.

In the AP WNBA Power Poll, Minnesota claimed the top spot, followed by New York, Las Vegas, and Connecticut. The rankings also included Seattle, Indiana, Atlanta, and Phoenix, with Washington, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles rounding out the list.
