For the last month or so of the season, the Philadelphia Eagles have been in complete chaos.
The team has become completely miserable since its 10-1 start to the season. With a devastating loss to the Arizona Cardinals last week, the Eagles lost out on a chance to potentially fight for the No. 1 seed in the NFC and probably just fumbled the division to the Dallas Cowboys.
Through it all, many fans and analysts alike have been questioning the Eagles’ coaching staff. There’s been talk about Nick Sirianni potentially being on the hot seat. There’s also been lots of criticism of Brian Johnson and how predictable the Eagles’ offense has become.
But A.J. Brown has heard enough of all that.
Brown addressed the media on Wednesday after skipping out on talking after the Cardinal’s loss. He’s been criticized for reportedly “driving a wedge” in the locker room and being split from the team’s coaches.
The star wideout addressed all of the rumors during his media session, coming to the swift defense of Sirianni and the rest of the Eagles’ coaching staff.
He said the players deserve a lot of the blame — including on that weird interception from the Seahawks game that Sirianni gave us a wild explanation for.
AJ Brown goes into detail about the final play in Seattle
Says the players improvised that long pass that resulted in an INT. Then Sirianni took full blame to protect the players. Says he really respects that

“We messed that up. We improvised. Nick [Sirianni] came out and said ‘Oh, I wanted to get a flag’ or something crazy like that. He came out and made himself look like a fool for us. I have nothing but respect for him. Not all coaches do that. We ride with Nick. We ride with Brian [Johnson]. We just got to come out and we just got to play ball. That’s all it is.”
Not only did he defend his coaches, but he also had some reassuring words for fans out there.
“It’s highs and lows. And you see the glimpes. We’re right there. We’re right there. Desptie everything. Despite everybody saying this and saying that, we right there. And we know we are. That’s the only thing that matters. We know.”
Truth be told, this is probably one of the few positive moments Eagles fans have had in the last few weeks. They all seemed to appreciate it.
And just like that I’m all the way back in on Nick https://t.co/Xzu3svdQmn

I’m done talking about AJ Brown’s character. He doesn’t need to answer anymore questions regarding that.
