A Different Man: how to watch, reviews, trailer, cast and everything we know about the Sebastian Stan movie

Sebastian Stan in A Different Man.

A completely different take on the make-over story, A24's A Different Man sees Marvel veteran Sebastian Stan take on a unique role in a movie that fits right into the fan-favorite studio/distributor's wheelhouse.

A Different Man, which premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, built up solid buzz ahead of its theatrical release and is now among the year-end contenders for awards. It is one of many intriguing movies from A24 in 2024, including The Front Room, We Live in Time, Heretic, The Brutalist and Babygirl. But we're focusing on A Different Man in this post.

With that in mind, read on to get everything you need to know about the 2024 new movie.

A Different Man how to watch

A Different Man is available to watch at-home via digital on-demand platforms in the US.

The cast of A Different Man is led by the trio of Sebastian Stan as Edward, Renate Reinsve as Ingrid and Adam Pearson as Oswald.

Stan is best known for playing Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in the MCU, a role he is slated to reprise in the upcoming Marvel movie Thunderbolts. However, outside of the MCU Stan has starred in acclaimed titles like I, Tonya, Fresh and Pam & Tommy. He is also slated to play a young Donald Trump in The Apprentice, which does not have a release date at this time.

Norwegian-born Reinsve is continuing to grow her Hollywood cred with A Different Man. She broke out with her acclaimed performance in the movie The Worst Person in the World and has already starred in the new Apple TV Plus series Presumed Innocent in 2024.

Rounding things out is Adam Pearson, an actor living with neurofibromatosis (a genetic disorder that causes benign tumors and growths), the same syndrome that Stan's character has in the movie. This is Pearson's second big movie role, following his debut in the 2013 Scarlett Johansson/Jonathan Glazer movie Under the Skin.
