A CT Scan Showed the Magnet Two Years Earlier, and It Was Still in His Stomach When the Pain Started

A case report published in Cureus by physicians at Tower Health Medical Group in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, describes a 45 year old man who came in with three weeks of worsening abdominal pain, nausea, bloating and foul smelling belching. Imaging showed a radiopaque foreign body in the distal gastric antrum, the narrow outlet where the stomach empties into the small intestine. It turned out to be a 2.5-centimeter disc-shaped magnet.
