That spirit was uncovered in our recent tour of Studio Portobello's Dublin townhouse, where design duo Hanna and Peter transformed a 'once bleak, all-white ex-rental' into a richly layered, 'non-beige' home. In the eat-in kitchen, a barley-twist table and vintage bentwood chairs sit beside French doors, framed by soft window dressings and colorful artwork – proof that even the smallest corner can feel deeply inviting.

In the English-style carriage house in Colorado and the colorful small Toronto home, similarly cozy dining corners bring together layered rugs, warm wood finishes, and collected pieces to create spaces that bear all the hallmarks of your favorite coffee shop, at home.
